Guess the Pets Line by Line ESL Class Game

I'm really happy to release the first video in a new series that I'm working on. In this game, students guess the vocabulary words as they are being created line by line.

This first video centers on pets. It contains 10 pets: dog, cat, bird, fish, lizard, hamster, frog, turtle, rabbit, and snake.

You can check out the video below and on my Youtube Channel. Make sure to subscribe for more like this! Below the video you will see how you can use this ESL game in your class.

If you'd like to download the video to use in your class (if you don't have access to YT when teaching), copy the link for the youtube video and copy it into this site: https://ssyoutube.com/en238/

How to play:

  1. Divide your class into teams. Any number of teams is OK. Make sure that all of your students have a clear view of the board.

  2. Play the video.

  3. When a picture is being drawn/created the teams should try and guess the picture as quick as possible.

  4. When a student guesses the picture correctly, pause the video. Award that team points equal to the remaining seconds shown in the top left corner.

  5. Play the video and continue. Repeat steps 2-4 until all pictures have been guessed.

And that's it! It's that easy.
