G'day fellow ESL teachers! Here's a brand new Guess the Picture Line by Line video for you. This one centers around clothes and related items. As usual the goal is simple, students try to guess what the picture is as I draw it line by line.
This video can be used as a companion game with the clothing lesson I have available in the ESL lessons section of this site. Get that here.
Here are the clothing items in order of appearance in this video:
shorts 2. shirt 3. socks 4. skirt 5. dress 6. coat 7. hat 8. jacket 9. pants 10. shoe(s)
You can check out the video here:
If you'd like to use this video in your class but you don't have an active internet connection or access to youtube there, copy the link to this page and you'll be able to download it.
How to play:
Divide your class into teams. Any number of teams is OK. Make sure that all of your students have a clear view of the board.
Play the video.
When a picture is being drawn/created the teams should try and guess the picture as quick as possible.
When a student guesses the picture correctly, pause the video. Award that team points equal to the remaining seconds shown in the top left corner.
If you'd like, talk about the picture shown. "Are you wearing a skirt?" "What color is my dress?" "How many shoes are you wearing?" "Is Sara wearing a skirt?"
Play the video and continue. Repeat steps 2-4 until all pictures have been guessed.
The team with the most points at the end of the game wins!
And that's it! It's that easy.
